"Observation and Reflection from a Typhoon"

Every student would like extra holiday, like me. That day was a summer holiday, but I must go back to school to my summer tutorials class. That week, the weather was so bad and a rain was falling from the sky a few days. The violent was a big powerful to break down our normal life, such as many downed trees in our roads and workers were too busy to remove a fallen trees. How long I can encounter the typhoon signal no. 10. In that time, I went to sleep until next morning I got the news has the typhoon signal no. 10. I was too late to achieve the news and I missed the good news in that moment. Anyway, I had an extra holiday was so happy.

  I watched the news, many passengers slept at the airport and waited the Typhoon Vicente left in Hong Kong. Many flights were cancelled and were delayed on Monday night.  It was a bad news to them because they went to Hong Kong travelling and they cannot move on time to go back their home. It was horribly during the Typhoon Vicente, a strong violent tear down scaffolding on a residential building, and it can hurt everyone in the dangerous building.

 Another the next hot news was the MTR Corporation was blamed for poor emergency management on Tuesday as a hundreds passengers were stayed in trains and MTR stations overnight. Some passengers got water by service personnel. The railway operator stopped commuter-loaded trains on the East Rail line, so many passengers stranded in train. They cannot do anything and just waited workers finished to resume train. I think the MTR Corporation cannot deal with this problem, so that it came under fire for the train and MTR service. The MTR Corporation should be given some food or provided coaches. The MTR Corporation only to say that passengers must calm down until the train was restoring power.  We can see that the MTR Corporation was so bad to handle problem.

“Cooking, Food and Love”

I am interesting to cook some yummy food. I most like to make some different chocolate cause I like to eat chocolate. I am not proving that I cook very well, but I always eat chocolate and I feel happy. I like to share food together with my friends, family and classmates. I had cooked lot of food, for example, soup, chocolate, biscuit and dumpling.

       I like to cook a special festival such as Mother’s Day and birthday etc. It is so funny to make a chocolate or cake to share my love. If I have problem for cooking, I will see a cookbook and concentrate to follow the cook step. I had seen some website to show how to cooking the food and I can step by step to follow by movie or list. We make the food, it get them know we concern and it is not only speak. All the actions are better than to speak a many words. I think recipe is accurate describe how many food that we need to buy in the supermarket. Cooking is including boy and girl, we fair to play cooking game. Although mother is cooking in every day, she would never say “No” in our house for this hard joy. Not only every mother can cook very well, but they try to the best to us.

         From form 1 to form 3, our school has Home Economics, I am first time to cook different food. I remembered that form 1 lesson one, I made chocolate milk, and it was so easy for every classmate in that time. I had done noodles, fried rice, chicken wings, and biscuit etc. Teacher had started test us to cook food, she scored the food which students made the food better. It was my cooking experience from form 1 to form 3 at school. I learned that Home Economics was training us how to communicate with partner. We were together to cook the same food, we need assign work to finish the food.

        Also, I have a good chance to make some British food in my tutorial class. My teacher comes from British, sometime she would like to give me some British recipe and she taught me how to make British traditional soup. I like to drink the soup, it small good. Cooking is not difficult, you can try it.

"My Learning Experience - Joy and Challenges"

Everyone has different learning experience. In my life, I must learn a lot of subject and how to solve my problem. I am not a clever student but I determine to do what I want to do. It means I set the goal to overcome any problem.

I think my challenge is my poor English. By the time, I am form 5 student and I believe I can pay off of my poor English. I am not enough time but I would do more excises to improve my poor English. I know only a matter of time, if I will learn bearable transition period. I strong will and work hard to arrival my target. I am learner of a second language has many obstacles to overcome. But this is not a problem and I can endure a second language challenges. I saw news, the news pupils who overcome special challenges including English. Their English are so bad and they have to get the same situation, they are visually impaired students.  I think they are good role models, it means they can do that, I do not give up for my poor English. I must learn their perseverance and determination. I always speak Cantonese in every day and it is my mother tongue. It is the fact that I should memorize more English vocabulary to improve my poor English.

            I will sit for the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary School Education next March. I learn a six subject need a lot of practice, so that I will achieve outstanding results in the next year. I attempt to use different way to study my six subjects, what way is suitable for me. Sometime the exam was far too difficult to me, but I also had a stab at my exam. I know everything in the first time is not easily accessible such as exam, life or relationship. If I am willing to spend more time, I can get a great benefit to my exam. I plan myself to begin watching some English news, English programmer and English story book. Everything must step by step to my beginning. It is simple but it can help me for first step. I hope in the future I can see my good result.

“My First Encounter with African Culture - Music and Dance"

          I was interesting of my first encounter with African Culture. As you all know, African have a unique voice to sing their songs. I always think African sings a song can hold all the audience in that time, it is amazing.

           Last week, I had a good chanced to give me knew more about African Culture like music and dance. A man come from Africa, he taught our form 5 students how to speak Africa language, song and dance. The African was greeted with loud applause. In the beginning, the African made us to do some exercise of our hands and he was sure our hands were relaxed. The African taught us correct gesture to play an African drumming. When Africa music started, the African showed him ability to play an African drumming and dance. Sometimes he sang to the African drumming and he invited some form 5 students together dancing in that movement.

The African danced in my school, he looked so funny. It is because he danced he would like to open his hands, I saw his palm was almond color and his body was black color. It was my first time to understand the African body. We were not enough the African drumming, so that we were one by one to play the African drumming. I chose a small size of the African drumming, I played four or five times, it was good to try the African drumming. I watched our students were happiness, and I listened to a lot of laugh voice mix African music in the school.

Some students joined the African teacher together to perform the African drumming, I enjoyed their showed, and it was really well. The African teacher started to find our school teacher to join us together, but our school teachers were very rushed and ran away to the door. Suddenly, our school principal came back to school. A few students went to invite the principal, the principal was glad to play the African drumming. We were so happy to see the principal played the African drumming and she was nice. Another school teacher called Mr. Wu. He was caught by the African teacher, and the African teacher made him danced. He was a little embarrassed to dance alone but finally he did very well. We were cheerful to finish the African Culture activity, we played the African drumming and learned some Africa language.
